As someone who hoards office supplies and pretty paper goodies, I have always loved designing paper goods! It’s really nice creating something that functions exactly how I need with the perfect aesthetic, too! On a whim, I decided to create a simple desk pad to plan out my days and make sure all of my tasks got done. I had it custom printed and immediately fell in love with the functionality! As an entrepreneur, I have a lot of freedom in how each day is scheduled and this nifty deskpad keeps me accountable.
By planning out my day in blocks, it made things SO much easier to stay focused and on task. After all, everyone likes knowing when they have a break or a deadline, right? I shared my little prototype on instagram and it BLEW UP. Everyone got so excited about this concept that it made me excited! Maybe this could be my little step into paper goods?
I began designing something a little more fun, crated a couple different options, asked my blog friends for their opinions, and then turned to Twitter. The response was overwhelming and I realized that I should actually do this thing! Not just sell that one plain design I started with, but make it more personal. I can to give people access to beautiful, affordable customized office goods.
Naturally, at this realization I started freaking out with excitement (I started sweating and texting things in all caps). I began designing, playing around in Illustrator, and ‘Xoxo, Heart & Arrow’ was born. Heart & Arrow is primarily focused on beautiful (the heart part) and effective (the arrow part) design, so why stop at designing digital spaces?
I’m giddy with excitement about this next chapter for Heart & Arrow, and I hope that you will join me in making our office spaces beautiful!
